WATTAGE REQUIREMENT CALCULATOR
Fill in the boxes as shown below then click calculate at the bottom of the page.
Check Items: Mark the items you want to power by Checking the check box next to each item in the include column. When you check an item a "typical wattage will appear.) If you do not know the wattage use these values however it is more accurate to input the voltage and amps is known.
Quantity: If there is more then one unit of an item, type the number into the Quantity Box.
Phase: Select the phase used for each item. To set all the items in the group to same phase, use Set all at the top of the column and click the arrow.
Volts: Select the voltage used for each item. To set all the items in the group to same voltage, use Set all at the top of the column (For 60 hertz use 120, 208, 240, 277, 480 - For 50 hertz us 110, 115, 220, 230, 240, 380, 416)
Running Amps: If you know the running amps insert the number in the Run Amps box.
Starting Amps: If you know the starting amps a insert the number in the Start Amps box.
Running Wattage: If you do not know the actual running and watts leave the box blank and the "Typical Wattage" will be used. If you do know the specific wattage type the wattage into the "Running Wattage" box for that item.
Starting Wattage: If you do not know the actual starting and watts leave the "Specific" box blank and the "Typical Wattage" will be used. If you do know the specific wattage type the wattage into the "Starting Wattage" box for that item. Starting wattage must be equal to or larger than running amperage.
kW: This is the minimum size of the generator for this item. Totals are shown at the bottom of the page. Use the total value at the bottom to enter your range on step six.
Clear: To change values on an item line, click Clear.
