The GeneratorJoe Model 400 CV3 is a Centurion "V"™ Series generator with 400 kW (500 kVA) 60 Hz, or 333.3 kW (416.7 kVA) 50 Hz. of maximum output.  These industrial generators are suitable for standby use. All models are built with the quality and reliability you would expect from GeneratorJoe, a leading generator manufacturer. 

The Marathon brushless alternator utilized on this model is manufactured to exacting specifications using the best manufacturing methods.  GeneratorJoe generators use electronic technology to control the voltage with a voltage variation of less than 0.25% throughout the entire power range. That means you can use this generator with computers and sensitive electronics safely, with no sacrifice in generator performance.

This model features a premium Volvo Model TAD1353GE, 6 cylinder, 307 HP, diesel fueled, liquid cooled engine with electric start.  This model runs at 1800 RPM and generates 400 kW (500 kVA) 60 Hz, or 333.3 kW (416.7 kVA) 50 Hz. of Standby (emergency or maximum) power and 360 kW 300 kW prime (continuous) power at a primary voltage of 277/480 VAC, three phase, 60/50 Hertz, with 0.25% voltage accuracy 2% Frequency accuracy.  Single phase models are available as 120/240 VAC. Three phase models are available as 120/240, 120/208 or 277/480 VAC. See Fuel Tanks below for additional information. 

Dimensions: Open dimensions are 132" Long X 52" Wide X 65" High. Open weight is 7292 lbs. Enclosed dimensions are 174" Long X 52" Wide X 80" High. Enclosed weight is 8699 lbs. Open quietness is 90 db at 7 meters. Enclosed quietness is 80 db at 7 meters.

Quality Control & Load Bank Testing: All GeneratorJoe generators are factory load bank tested to 110% of rated capacity for four hours. Load bank test reports are provided on units built upon request, after construction. Because all units we build are factory tested the customer does not need to pay for factory startup services to activate the warranty. We use the best available components on every generator built, including the best air/oil/fuel filters, hoses/hose clamps, wiring harnesses and connectors. We do not use imported parts, all components are Made in the USA.

Enclosures: Weather and sound proof enclosures (if available), are built using steel panels and locking doors on a modular structural base frame. Sound enclosures include a rock-wool layer of insulation, which complies with the prevailing regulations and accomplishes the sound attenuating elements. Most enclosures include hot ambient air pusher fan. Select an enclosure from the Product Options windows, if available. Tier 4 models are sold with weather/sound enclosures only.

Fuel Tanks: Fuel tanks in various sizes that fit under this model are shown on the Priced Options tab.  Fuel tanks on most units are double wall UL142 rated. Check your local building codes for your local requirements.

Transfer Switches: The automatic transfer switch monitors utility and generator power. When utility power fails or is unsatisfactory, the transfer switch control starts the generator set.
