The GeneratorJoe Model 500 PMV is a Centurion "V"™ Series generator with 500 kW (625 kVA) 60 Hz, or 416.7 kW (520.8 kVA) 50 Hz. of maximum output.  These mobile industrial generators are suitable for standby and prime power use with Prime power calculated as 450 kW (563 kVA) 60 Hz,. The Newage Stamford brushless alternator utilized on this model is manufactured to exacting specifications using the best manufacturing methods.  GeneratorJoe generators use electronic technology to control the voltage with a voltage variation of less than 0.25% throughout the entire power range. That means you can use this generator with computers and sensitive electronics safely, with no sacrifice in generator performance.

This model features a premium Volvo Model TWD1643GE , 6 cylinder, 762 HP, diesel fueled, liquid cooled engine with electric start.  This model runs at 1800 RPM and generates 500 kW (625 kVA) 60 Hz, or 416.7 kW (520.8 kVA) 50 Hz. of Standby (emergency or maximum) power and 450 kW 375 kW prime (continuous) power at a primary voltage of 277/480 VAC, 1 & 3 phase, 60/50 Hertz, with 0.25% voltage accuracy 0.5% Frequency accuracy.  Single phase models are available as 120/240 VAC. Three phase models are available as 120/240, 120/208 or 277/480 VAC. If 50 Hz models are available they would be built as a special order. This model has economical fuel use of 20.3 gallons at 1/2 load.  Running time is over 24.6 hours on a typical tank.  See Fuel Tanks below for additional information. 

Dimensions: Enclosed dimensions are 256" Long X 97" Wide X 140" High. Enclosed weight is 14160 lbs.

Quality Control & Load Bank Testing: All GeneratorJoe generators are factory load bank tested to 110% of rated capacity for four hours. Load bank test reports are provided on units built upon request, after construction. Because all units we build are factory tested the customer does not need to pay for factory startup services to activate the warranty. We use the best available components on every generator built, including the best air/oil/fuel filters, hoses/hose clamps, wiring harnesses and connectors. We do not use imported parts, all components are Made in the USA.

Enclosures: Weather and sound proof enclosures (if available), are built using steel panels and locking doors on a modular structural base frame. Sound enclosures include a rock-wool layer of insulation, which complies with the prevailing regulations and accomplishes the sound attenuating elements. Most enclosures include hot ambient air extraction fan. Select an enclosure from the Product Options windows, if available.

Fuel Tanks: Fuel tanks are built into the trailer. If optional tank sizes are available theay shown on the Priced Options tab.  Fuel tanks on most units are double wall UL142 rated to allow use in all states.

Transfer Switches: The automatic transfer switch monitors utility and generator power. When utility power fails or is unsatisfactory, the transfer switch control starts the generator set.
